VOLUNTEERING

The practice of people working on behalf of others or a particular cause without payment for time and services.
Generally considered an altruistic activity, volunteering is intended to promote good or improve human quality of life.
People also volunteer for their own skill development, to meet others, to make contacts for possible employment, to have fun, and a variety of other reasons.

The Wellesley Council on Aging provides opportunities for individuals of all ages to volunteer by assisting with programs and activities that support seniors and helps seniors find volunteer opportunities that keep them engaged and active in a variety of ways.
